Letters to Daddy was a very inspirational and benificial musical to people of all ages. This educational musical was performed by young children who were very talented. The musical was about two sisters named caroline and Madeline and how the older sister Caroline had a terrible day at school because she tried to defend her friend from a bully, but ended up getting in to trouble at school. Caroline ends up getting into trouble with her parents and she is locked in her fathers office to think about what she did wrong. Throughout the day, Caroline's friends from school decide to secretly visit her by climbing through the window and sneaking in to Caroline's house. When Caroline and her friends are haning out in her fathers office they discover a folder full of letters. Caroline's father is a 5th grade teacher and he gives his students an assignment to write a private letter to him explaining what causes them pain, or troubles that they have in their lives. Although Caroline and her friends know that it is wrong to read the letters from the students, they decided to take a peek anyway. Throughout the experience of reading the letters written by the students, Caroline in her friends bond in a way which they never have before because they learn about each others insecurities and struggles in their lives. All of the friends help on another and become closer friends by the end of the musical. The children in the musical learn that every individaul in life has something that causes pain in his or her life, even the bully. At the end of the play the characters in the show a picture of the world shapped like a heart. I personally enjoyed the musical and thought that anyone could relate to it. The children were very talented and put their heart and soul in to the show. It was great that this show taught a lesson and really pin pointed all of the discriminations and judgemental attitutes that some people have. I believe this is a musical that every one should take the time to see! =)
